Originally known as The Pharmaceutical Bandits, RX Bandits first emerged in 1999, forming in Orange County, CA. Throughout their decade long career, the group has reinvented and revolutionized their identity while retaining their socially conscious lyrics and eruptive instrumentation. This concept has been the catalyst for the band’s ever-growing fan base, and their incredible live performances.

RX Bandits thrive on playing live and have become well known for putting on explosive shows. Their albums And the Battle Begun and The Resignation were both recorded live.

The band was part of Drive-Thru Records from 1999-2006. After parting ways with Drive-Thru, the band decided to sign with MDB Records, founded by lead singer Matt Embree. The band's most recent album Mandala was released in the summer of 2009 and was given rave reviews from sites such as AbsolutePunk, AllMusic, and Spuntnikmusic.

Members of the band have participated in various side projects including: The Sound of Animals Fighting, Apotheke, Love You Moon, Technology and many others.
