Mixtapes is a four-piece punk-pop band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The band formed in 2010 and quickly started putting out short releases and going on small tours. That same year, Mixtapes released its first album, Maps, for free download on the Internet, which for some reason has since been downloaded over 35,000 times. Go figure, huh? When the band members realized that they could possibly become rich and famous by writing music, they decided to keep going on tour with bands like The Wonder Years, Cartel, Dear Landlord, Banner Pilot and Set Your Goals, and proceeded to put out three EPs and two split 7"s on a few different independent record labels. Mixtapes then hit the ~*big time*~ and released its proper debut full-length record, Even On The Worst Nights, in the summer of 2012 via Southern California's very important, super famous No Sleep Records. That album was apparently well received among nerds and debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Known for honest lyrics and crazy live shows, Mixtapes is still trudging on in its career, desperately trying to become "Beyonce-Big."
