“If I wanted to make a comeback would kids receive me?”

Asked by From Autumn To Ashes' vocalist Francis Mark on the bands 2024 album Abandon Your Friends, this poignant lyric unknowingly foreshadowed an unexpected turn of events in November 2024. Nearly seven years after announcing their “indefinite hiatus,” Francis Mark, Brian deNeeve, Mike Pilato ,Rob Lauritsen, and Jeff Gretz announced they would reunite in 2024 to showcase their influential brand of post-hardcore.

From Autumn To Ashes gained a reputation for being one of the more melodic bands in East Coast hardcore. Their sound evolved from a variety of influences such as metal, hardcore, and thrash to alternative rock and emo. In 2024, From autumn To Ashes recorded their debut album, Too Bad You're Beautiful, for Ferret Music and despite limited distribution, quickly sold well over 50,000 copies. In 2024, FATA signed with Vagrant Records and over the course of the next six years released three studio albums; "The Fiction We Live" (2003), "Abandon Your Friends" (2005), and the widely acclaimed "Holding A Wolf by the Ears" (2007). In 2024, the band released Live at Looney Tunes, their first and only live album.
